Venture Capital Entity, formerly Alternative Fund or Mini Fund under § 15 ZISIF
CNB Registration
Who Needs the Registration?
Any legal entity that wishes to perform asset management activities comparable to portfolio management, i.e., activities involving the collection of funds from a limited group of investors for the purpose of joint investment based on a designated investment strategy.
An alternative fund is designed for a limited number of retail investors and an unlimited number of qualified investors. A qualified investor must invest at least 125,000 EUR, and the manager evaluates, based on a completed investment questionnaire, whether the investment corresponds to their financial background, investment objectives, and expertise or experience in investment.
An alternative fund can invest in any assets, including shares, bonds, funds, ETFs, derivatives, commodities, and crypto-assets.
Examples of alternative funds listed in the CNB register include AVANT GROUP SICAV, Pro arte, and STARTEEPO.
